From today, you can apply to the Municipality of your residence for the issuance of a civil marriage licence.

The civil marriage licence is issued after 7 calendar days, so that there is the necessary period of time for filing complaints against the upcoming marriage.

Once the licence has been issued by the Municipality, it will be sent to your Inbox and you will be notified by e-mail and text message (sms).

See the Municipalities that have joined gov.gr, which accept applications for issuing civil marriage licences. Gradually, other Municipalities will be included in the service and accept applications.
