You can apply for postponement of your concription in the Armed Forces if, besides the Greek citizenship, you also have the citizenship of another country and are serving in the regular armed forces of that country.

When to apply:
The supporting documents need to be submitted after the date on which you are required to enlist in the Greek Armed Forces and at the latest by the date on which you are required to enlist as a result of the end of the enlistment postponement period (31 December of the year following the scheduled date of your discharge from the armed forces of the other state).

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• a certificate from the competent Greek Consular Authority or other public authority from which the citizenship of the foreign state can be derived. In this context, any Greek or foreign authority that can certify that you have the citizenship of a foreign state is considered to be a public authority

• official documents from the competent bodies of the state in question, indicating the date from which you are serving in the armed forces of that state, your military status and the duration of your obligation
