Get a conscription postponement to obtain a medical specialty

You can apply for postponement of your conscription in the Armed Forces, if you have been appointed or have enrolled to obtain a medical specialty at a legally competent medical institution (Greek or foreign) that uses an internationally recognised language.

When to apply:

The supporting documents need to be submitted by the date of your mandatory enlistment in the Armed Forces as a result of the end or suspension of your legal stay outside of them. If these documents are submitted later, the enlistment postponement is only granted if the conditions applied on the date of enlistment.

You will need:

  • your personal Taxisnet credentials
  • certifications or attestations proving that the medical institution (clinic, hospital, laboratory) has been recognised as an establishment providing medical qualifications, by the Ministry of Health if it is a Greek institution, or by the competent service of the foreign State if it is located abroad.

Select "My Applications" to view the status of your application.
