Register and monitor pet animals

If you are a veterinarian certified by the GeoTechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE), you can record the details of the pet animals and the medical acts you carry out on them in the National Register of Pet Animals.

You can also register the life events of a pet animal such as birth, marking, loss, finding, transfer, adoption and fostering.

Authorised municipal officials, as well as representatives of animal associations/organisations and shelters, can register incidents related to pet animals managed by your organisation. In particular, municipal employees may, upon request from citizens, update the contact details of owners of kept animals.

You will need either:

  • your personal Taxisnet credentials, if you are a certified veterinarian
  • the Civil Service Credentials if you are an employee of a municipality
  • your personal Taxisnet credentials if you are a representative of animal welfare associations/organisations and shelters

In the case of EU volunteer veterinarians, the the creation of an account in the National Register of Pet Animals is required.
