You can apply for compensation for funeral expenses in the event of the death of a pensioner of the Electronic National Social Insurance Institution (e-EFKA), provided that:

• the undertaker of the ceremony has already registered the expenses electronically
• the corresponding document has been issued with your details (Tax Identification Number (AFM))

To date, the service concerns only cases where the deceased person was a pensioner..

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• the Social Insurance Number (AMKA) of the deceased person
• your Tax Identification Number (AFM)
• a valid and active bank account number (IBAN), in which you are the sole beneficiary or co-beneficiary
