You can apply for and obtain a licence to fish in international waters destined for fishing areas within the Mediterranean Sea blocks or in waters under the jurisdiction of "third countries" (non-Mediterranean fishing areas).

It will need to:

• fill in the Integrated Fishing Activity Monitoring and Tracking System (OSPA) credentials
• enter the details of the fishing vessel and a brief history of its fishing activity outside national territorial waters
• specify the area to be operated by the fishery, the target species, the fishing gear to be used
• attach the necessary supporting documents

In addition, if there is more than one owner, the application must be finalised either by all the owners of the vessel or by a third party responsible for carrying out these actions.

The application allows you to monitor the progress of your application.

The fishing licence may be withdrawn under which it was issued are not complied with.

The period of validity of this licence shall be one (1) calendar year or until the date of its withdrawal.

Fishing licences issued for fishing in third country waters under a private agreement shall be valid for the duration of the private agreement, which may not exceed one year.
