The new "Get a certificate of permanent residence" service is now available on gov.gr. You can apply to the Municipality of your residence for a certificate stating your permanent address.

You will need to:

• enter your personal Taxisnet credentials
• attach proof of your permanent residence

Once the certificate has been issued by the Municipality, it will be sent to your Inbox and you will be notified by e-mail and text message (sms).

Your application is being sent to the mailbox of the Municipality at gov.gr. To date, 108 Municipalities of the country have activated mailboxes, thus being able to provide digital services to their citizens through the modern and secure environment of gov.gr.

With the gov.gr Mailboxes of Municipalities, a new digital way of communication between citizens and their Municipality is being introduced, while at the same time a new generation of homogenised municipal digital services is being launched.

The mailboxes of the Municipalities on gov.gr offer 3 basic functions:

1. Issuance of certificates for which the Municipalities are competent, without the need for physical signatures and stamps. These certificates are valid in both paper and digital form, both in the Public Administration and when being produced to private entities as necessary.
2. Acceptance and processing of citizens' applications by gov.gr - the first service offered is the Certificate of Permanent Residence
3. Ex officio search and issuance of certificates that are necessary in municipal processes and are being provided by gov.gr

New procedures will gradually be digitised and integrated into the mailboxes.
