You can report the loss of your or your child's Greek passport, in order to cancel it. Υou can file your report to the nearest Police or Consular Authority to the place of loss, depending on whether you lost it in Greece or abroad.

You will need to:

• fill in either your personal web banking codes or your personal Taxisnet credentials (after registering with the National Communication Register (EMEP) to confirm your mobile phone number)
• confirm your and your passport details and submit a statement that you lost it. 

The Greek passport is immediately cancelled by the Police upon submission of your statement.

• If the lost passport is found, you must hand it over to the nearest Police station or Consular authority.
• To issue a new Greek passport, please contact the Police Passport Office or the Consular Authority of your residence area.
