You can apply for postponement of your conscription in the Armed Forces if, on the date you are required to enlist, you are working as a researcher at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN).

When to apply:

The supporting documents need to be submitted by the date of your mandatory enlistment in the Armed Forces as a result of the end or suspension of your legal stay outside the Armed Forces. If these documents are submitted later, the enlistment postponement is only granted if the conditions applied on the date of enlistment.

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• a certification or attestation of the competent department of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN)
