You can apply for postponement of your conscription in the Armed Forces if:

• you are legally outside the Armed Forces
• you have a brother who is serving in the Armed Forces, fulfilling his military obligation and is not a deserter.

When to apply:

The supporting documents need to be submitted from the date of issuance of the call-up decision until the date on which you are required to enlist in the Armed Forces. If these documents are submitted at a later date, the enlistment postponement is only granted if the conditions applied on the date of enlistment.

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• a certificate of your civil status for military use, issued by the competent municipality
• a certificate from the unit or service in which your brother is serving (thus entitling you to the enlistment postponement), confirming that he has not deserted
