If you own or foster a pet animal you can report the loss of your pet.

The pet loss declaration should be submitted within two (2) working days of the event.

It will need to:

• fill in your personal Taxisnet credentials
• enter any information about you and the pet that is not pre-filled in 
• enter the date and time of loss
• enter the last known location of the animal before the loss
• optionally upload a photograph of the animal other than the one that may be in the Register of Pet Animals.

Optionally and as you estimate whether the loss relates to theft. In this case, under the responsibility of the municipality concerned, the relevant police department of the area where the animal is lost shall be informed.

The pet loss declaration is registered as a document, has the security features of gov.gr and you can either send it electronically or print it out and submit it in paper form. The paper version does not require validation and is confirmed by the gov.gr document validity application.

In addition, it is possible for an employee of a municipality to report the loss of the pet at your request.
