Become an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)

Economic operators can apply for authorisation for an AEO status to enjoy specific benefits in their customs operations in the EU.

There are two types of status:

  • Authorised Economic Operators for Customs Simplification (AEOC) providing customs simplifications, in accordance with the EU provisions
  • Authorised Economic Operator Security and Safety (AEOS) providing security and safety facilities

An economic operator can hold both statuses (authorisations).
