If you are a natural person, you can apply to participate in the "Recycle - Change my appliance" programme to receive financial aid for replacing old electrical appliances with new, environmentally friendly and more energy-efficient ones.

Requirements:

• you need to have filed an income tax return (E1) for the tax year 2020 and the return needs to have been cleared
• you, your second family member and the dependent children of your family need to have been residents of Greece during 2020

The process:

1. You are entitled to submit a single application for only one of your residences (main or holiday home), for which you can choose up to three (3) old electrical appliances to replace. These are itemised and categorised as follows:
2. up to two (2) appliances of category 1 "Air conditioners"
3. up to one (1) appliance of category 2 "Refrigerators"
4. up to one (1) appliance of category 3 "Freezers"
5. You are selected by the programme as a beneficiary. The subsidy is provided by means of programme vouchers, which you can use to purchase your new appliance(s) and cover part of the total cost. In the event of a negative reply, you can file an objection.
6. You can purchase the appliance(s) from specific suppliers participating in the programme.
7. You need to return your old appliance(s) for recycling to a merchant contracted with the programme.
