You can get a six-month extension of the validity of the supplementary paediatric medicinal product protection certificate, as long as:

• it is protected by a national patent in force
• it has been granted a national or EU sales licence (first marketing authorisation)
• it does not already have a certificate

You can also submit additional documents in your file.

You will be asked to provide:

• the number and date of filing of the national or EU patent and its expiry date
• the number and date of the marketing authorisation

You will need to:

• register and identify yourself with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization (HIPO)
• pay the fees for each phase of the process

The result will be displayed in the HIPO Inbox.
