You can get a certificate of patent amendment in relation to new inventions that involve an inventive activity and can have an industrial application, or modify another invention, in relation to:

• products
• production methods
• industrial applications

You can also submit additional documents in your file.

The patent is a title ensuring legal protection for 7 years.

Patent granting process steps:

• you submit your application
• you have a period of 4 months to correct or eliminate deficiencies
• a check is made about the "novelty" and the inventive activity and a research report is drawn up (with or without a reasoned opinion)
• you have a period of 3 months to comment on the report
• the final investigation report is drawn up (with or without a reasoned opinion)
• the amendment patent is issued

You will need to:

• register and identify yourself with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization (HIPO)
• pay the fees for each phase of the process
