Parents and carers of infants and young children can apply to participate in the Neighborhood Babysitters action. The aim of the action is to reconcile family and professional life of parents working or seeking work. It provides for the financing of part of the fee of the integrated curator in the action register.

The conditions for participation are:

• Be a worker or unemployed person registered with the Public Employment Service (DYPA).
• Have a minor child from two (2) months to two (2) years of age and six (6) months.
• Your annual personal income must not exceed EUR 24.000 for the tax year 2022.
• Your place of residence must be within the municipalities involved in the pilot implementation of the Action.
• You must not be on maternity, paternity or child-care leave or parental leave or special maternity protection benefit or have not interrupted or suspended your professional activity.

You will need your personal Taxisnet credentials (after registering in the National Communication Register (EMEP)) to confirm your mobile phone number).

For more than one child, you should make a separate application for each child.

Applications shall be submitted electronically only between 22/11/2023 and 30/9/2024 inclusive.

If your application is approved, you will be informed by email to the email address you have indicated in the National Communication Register.

Once approved, you have the right to access the profile of the available editors serving your area. You will be able to contact them and initiate the cooperation between you.
