Sign up to the National Communication Register

It is mandatory to register your contact details in the National Contact Register (EMEp) so that they are available for your online transactions with the public.
You must register at least:

  • your mobile phone number and either
  • your e-mail address or your residential postal address or contact address

Procedure:
1. Register your mobile phone number and you will receive a one-time code by SMS to verify its possession. Each phone number can only be registered by one natural person.

2. Confirm possession of your mobile phone number through a financial institution or mobile service provider or  by remote identification (Digital On Boarding) if you satisfy the following conditions:

  • you are over 65 years of age, or
  • you are registered in the registry of persons with disabilities in the e-EFKA or
  • you are a resident of an island in Greece or
  • you are a resident of a foreign country

Note: If this is not possible, you should visit a KEP.  Alternatively, if you are a resident abroad, you can visit the relevant consular authority.

3. Alternatively, you can go to your local consulate.

You will receive:

  • a one-time code by text message (SMS) to your mobile phone to confirm your registration details
  • a confirmation link in your email to confirm your email address.

You will need to enter your personal Taxisnet passwords.

The electronic registration and electronic updating of your contact details in the EMEP takes the place of a statutory declaration.

If your contact details change, you must inform EMEP within 30 days of the change. The history of changes to your details in EMEP is kept for 7 years.
