Businesses can participate in the " Change device for business " programme in order to install energy efficient equipment.

The aid rate is:

• 50% for small businesses with a maximum eligible expenditure budget of €20,000 (excluding VAT)
• 40% for medium-sized and large enterprises, with a maximum eligible expenditure budget of €25,000 (excluding VAT)
• The subsidy relates to expenditure on equipment and installation services, i.e,

1. Equipment costs:

• new heating system using heat pumps (up to 1)
• new solar heating system (up to 1) using solar heating with thermal energy sources (up to 1).
• purchase of smart energy metering devices (behind the grid meter)

2. Service costs:

• works for the installation of the new equipment
• issue of two (2) energy certificates, (Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs))
• implementation of Energy Audit (if there are any costs under the category of costs of other energy saving interventions)

Conditions:

Your company must be active in the Greek territory, hold a Greek TIN number, in an eligible activity (KAD), be established / incorporated until 31.12.2023 and be active on the date of submission of the application for participation in the program.

Have the 1st Energy Performance Certificate (PEA) issued or submit it within 20 days after the submission of the provisional application for participation.

The proposed equipment must be located at the business address and there must be no restriction (e.g., operating rules or applicable regulatory framework).

Procedure:

1. Submit your application

2. If approved, a special escrow account is established at the financial institution of your choice where funds are debited.

3. You update the information system with the purchase documents.

4. The eligibility of the relevant expenditure is checked.

5. Provide the 2nd PEA showing the achievement of the energy target.

6. The amounts are released to the beneficiaries.
