You can apply for exemption from your military service obligation if you are the father of at least one living minor or of an unmarried child who is unfit for any work and you have a spouse who is also unfit for any work.

When to apply:

• if you are a conscript, from the call for enlistment until the date of your enlistment in the Armed Forces. If the application is submitted at a later date, the exemption is granted if the conditions related to your person were met on the date of your enlistment
• if you are a private soldier, at any time after you enlistment
• if you are a draft evader or a deserter: after the discontinuation of your evasion or desertion

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• a certificate for military use issued by your municipality and attesting your family status, and a court decision in the case of judicial declaration of parentage.
• formal declaration in which the person alleged to be unfit for any work states that he/she does not practice any profession or work, and the health reasons invoked.
