If you wish to breed your pet, you can digitally submit an application for a breeding permit to the Municipality of your permanent residence, so that you can obtain the relevant permit.
The authorized employees of the Municipalities also have access to the digital service of a breeding permit application, upon request from citizens, to request on their behalf the breeding of their pet.

You can start the digital breeding permit application if you are the owner of the female animal. The application should be submitted before the fact of pregnancy.

You will need either:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials, if you own the pet
• Public Administration Codes, if you are an employee of a municipality

You will also need to fill in the following information:

• Tax Identification Number (AFM) owner (the field is automatically filled in if the entry is made by the owner)
• the Municipality of Permanent Residence
• the animal microchip code, selected from the list of animals registered with you in the Pet Recording and Monitoring SubRegister
• the microchip code of the male parent
• animal details (animal species, name, sex, breed, age, etc.) extracted from the SubRegister for Recording and Monitoring of Pets
• a negative record by the veterinarian of the reasons which should prevent the breeding of the animal. This information is automatically retrieved from the SubRegister for the Registration and Monitoring of Companion Animals

If you are the owner of the male animal you should accept or reject the application already created by the owner of the female animal.

The breeding permit will be approved or rejected on the recommendation of the competent committee of the Municipality.

The application for a pet breeding permit is registered as a document, has the security features of gov.gr and the owner can either send it electronically or print it and submit it in paper form. In its printed form it does not need to be validated and is confirmed by theapply valid documents of gov.gr.
